Texting ban in effect for N.C.
Starting today, it is illegal in North Carolina to text message while driving. A citation for doing so won’t put points on your driver’s license or insurance policy, but it potentially will set you back $230 when you add up the fine and court costs. The car has to be in motion for the offense to occur, according to a new N.C. state law
