Mobile food vendors make bid to move in to Myrtle Beach area
People line up at lunch time almost every day for the loaded hot dogs with slaw and chili at Phil’s Hot Dog Stand in front of the Sherwin Williams store in the Georgetown County portion of Murrells Inlet. Owner Phil Malvaso used to have his cart just down the road at another hardware store, but that store was in Horry County where nontemporary prepared food vendors are not allowed. Mike Mathis, who owns a cart similar to Malvaso’s, is hoping that changes soon.
