Coastal hires new athletic director
Believing he found the man capable of scripting the future of Coastal Carolina University’s athletics, President David DeCenzo announced Monday he has hired Hunter Yurachek to be the school’s next athletic director. Yurachek, the executive senior associate athletics director at the University of Akron, was chosen over Lawson Holland, a development officer at Clemson University. “I took about 30 dimensions and analyzed both candidates on those criteria,” DeCenzo said. “I would not have made the choice had I not believed that he was the best choice for what Coastal Carolina needs right now.”
