Spike in Myrtle Beach area home sales brings hint of good news
Sales of single-family houses along the Grand Strand increased by 4 percent in July – the first jump in about two years and a sign that the market is starting to recover. Condominium sales didn’t fare as well, down 9 percent when compared with the same month last year after increasing 2 percent in June, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Tom Maeser, the market analyst for the Coastal Carolinas Association of Realtors, said that these small, sporadic increases are encouraging.
